The first ever Knysna Celtic Festival is taking place on Saturday 28 February.

The programme of events includes:

Street March & Massed Pipes & Drums

Place: Main Road Knysna (the N2)

Time: 9.30 am – 10.30 am

Cost: FREE! – Please come along and give your support to this event! Bring your family, friends, neighbours, and even random strangers that you have just met!

We invite you to come and line the street for an hour to witness this truly amazing spectacle as we make history in Knysna…

Highlights: A March Past by up to 10 Pipe Bands along Knysna’s Main Street

A Massed Band with 100+ pipers, drummers and Highland

Dancers from all over SA

This is the first time that anything like this has ever happened in Knysna and promises to be a spectacular event, definitely not to be missed! Please ensure that you do come along to watch!

Celtic Festival – Loerie Park

Venue: Loerie Park, George Rex Drive, Knysna

Time: 11.00 am – 3.00 pm

Entrance Fee: Adults – R30, Children – R15, pay at Gate

Highlights: PBASA Pipe Band Competition, as well as Solo Piping & Solo

Drumming competitions

Highland & Irish Dancing Championship

Country Dancing Display

Knysna Highland Games

There will also be Children’s Entertainment with activities such as a bouncy castle, fairy glen, face painting, cup cake decorating and more to keep the kids occupied during the day; a Celtic Village with arts & crafts stalls, and Food Court – we have arranged for some delicious lunchtime food such as fish & calamari from Gold Leaf, and yummy shawarmas so please do plan to have your lunch at Loerie Park to support our wonderful local vendors! And of course no Celtic Festival would be complete without our Mitchell’s Brewery beer garden with live Celtic music!
