It is with great regret that we announce the closing of the Rondebosch Scottish Dancing Club. Waning numbers, a lack of enthusiasm for dancing at Rondebosch, due mainly to the ongoing problems we have been experiencing with the floor, we have decided that we cannot continue. Beryl Stephens is no longer teaching at Rondebosch. Chris Alston cannot run the teaching at the Club on his own.
Margaret Reid is collecting memories of Rondebosch Club over the years for as far back as anyone can remember. She would love to hear from anyone who has reminiscences to share, especially anyone who remembers the “old days” with Kay Gibson and Coral Epton, and more recently as well , of course.
Those who used to dance and support the former “Royals” Club and recently the Claremont Club should do the same.
Margaret would be very happy to receive anything you may contribute.
